The place is at the most lovely location in whole koh chang , staff are the most sweet people there are !! Rooms are very clean and money worthy ! Definitely would come to this place again if visiting thailand !!

You live on the beach! The huts are spacious and clean and the stuff was so nice and helpful (gave us a kettle so we could make formula milk for our baby, organised the ship to the next island...). There is a restaurant right next to it with good food all day long, so you don't have to leave the place if you don't want to (oh and there are a few massage parlours on the beach as well). Even though the beach is beautiful with shallow water there aren't many people around :)

This beautiful small boutique resort couldn’t have been more perfect. The room and the outside facilities are amazing and so comfortable, but it is truly the people who work so hard to make our stay memorable. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they made us feel so welcome. Keir and Eddie arranged for us trip to nearby islands too. Which was fantastic! It is peaceful and away from all the noise on busy party of Koh Chang. We enjoyed walks in nearby mangroo forest, we took a kanoe straight from the resort into nearby fishing village. And the food is amazing too, haven't had that good of Thai in awhile.

"Ray" (Cowbytours) booked us into Freedom Home for a couple of days/nights of the "REAL RURAL THAILAND EXPERIENCE!" There were 5 of us in total but only myself and Ray had visited Thailand before. Immediately, 2 out of the 5 said they weren't cut out to stay in a place this basic but that's the whole point- it's an experience- and a fantastic one at that! They actually booked alternate accommodation (££££s) and the remaining 3 of us stayed and loved every minute :) At one with the jungle and the sounds of nature (whatever was out there!) "TOM" who runs and actually built the whole place is a SUPERB host! He was totally fine that even though the other 2 had left, they were welcomed with open arms at his bar we liked to drink at. He makes you feel extremely welcome, where he engages you in stories, jokes and tricks- it's such a great way to get you and the other guests chatting and laughing together with him. There was a guy with his wife/girlfriend who had stayed there for 5 weeks... that's a compliment to how great a place Freedom Home is to stay at! Thank you so much for such a great stay and our friend Brandon still can't work out how the Chang Beer elephants turned away from each other... the magic monkey really is magic!!! :)

Yak bungalows are in the very nice and calm neighborhood, but with all things that you need like bars and restaurants with beautiful surroundings of a jungle and so close to the very nice beach. Yak is a very friendly and helpful person, he can tell you anything you want to know about the island or trips around. Bungalows are very nice with your own private bathroom and comfy bed. Kitchen is shared - I misunderstood that when I was reading about bungalows, but there's everything you need and also you can buy some drinks in here. I recommend this place

When you arrive at indie beach it's time to put your feet up and actually chill.. The staff were incredible couldn't do more for you and they were great with the kids. Yes the food was slightly more expensive than other places but you could see they had invested in the kitchen and team so its definatrly worth the extra. Food was such good quality and the weekend entertainment was so much fun kept us in the hotel in the evenings. We really didn't want to leave 3 days wasn't enough
