We absolutely reccommend to come to Puluong. Not so touristic and very different from rest of Vietnam. beautiful rice paddies and local culture. We drove 2 days on motorbike (once north, once south) and was absolutely stunning. We were even invited by local people We passed, to the wedding which was going On. The homestay was beutifully located and styled. Service was great. Hoghly recommended

We loved everything about our stay. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful and welcoming. We rented a motorbike through the lodge and loved exploring the local villages and area. Our room was nice and spacious with beautiful views. Highly recommend this special and unique place!

Amongst the three resorts I've visited in Pu Luong, Pu Luong Eco Garden was the by far most professionally managed. Staff showed so much genuine care, and the place is a dream thanks to its huge and opulent garden nestled on the mountain slope. My villa provided a lot of privacy and boasted a huge marble bathroom with XXL walk-in shower and very tasteful furnishings. The pool is gorgeous and thanks to its considerable depth and length great for swimming; there is also a huge and beautiful terrace with seating and a great view further up. I really liked the food at the restaurant offered for lunch and dinner (with great views from the terrace), and the espresso based coffee is excellent, they clearly take pride in selecting high quality beans (available also for breakfast but charged separately). I also had a full body massage that was professional, quite relaxing (oil based) and incredible value for money. The location offers great views and the bat cave, a local attraction, is a pleasant one hour walk through dramatic landscapes (use a hiking app such as Komoot as Google Maps will send you on a 30 minute detour along a major road not quite as nice for walking).

My stay at Pu Luong Retreat has satisfied me Beyond any expectation. A special praise goes to the staff of the hotel, which first welcomed in Pu Luong and gave me so many tips on the area, on what to do and how to move through the enchanting beauty of this exotic landscape. Each member of the staff has been kind, professional and dedicated giving special attention to me as well as to each of the guests. The room was clean and beautifully furnished, not to mention the view of the blue mountains standing in the horizon surrounding the greenest rice fields and rice terraces. The breakfast has a wide choice of food, varying from the continental one to the vietnamese specialties. I booked a one day trekking of more than 14 km visiting the enchanting Kho Muong village and its mysterious cave, here I had an abundant, tasty lunch at a homestay, then me and the guide walked all through the Natural Reserve to get to the Thai Village of Uoi Lan Where i experienced the local art of making brocade textiles. ialso had the chance to experience a moment of bliss with a great energizing and yet relaxing massage at the Retreat Spa Just before leaving to Hanoi. Pu Luong Retreat was so pleasant i would recommend it to anyone.

An absolute must visit. The setting is magical right beside a flowing creek, fireflies light up the sky at night and you stay in lovely bamboo huts. Staff are friendly, cook amazing food and organised sightseeing all around Pu Luong for a great price. Cheaper than any tours. Being older travellers we rode on the back of the bikes for the first time. It was amazing. We could walk to 2 falls to swim and a walk up the mountain from the property. We got to make spring rolls too.

Loved the hospitality of Hoai and his family and the fact that Hoai speaks excellent English and went out of his way to organize outings for us. He was invaluable to communicate with our driver and we learned much about Pu Luong from him. We loved experiencing village life here, and the trip to the bat cave and the bamboo raft were perfect activities for us, for younger people, there are hikes to do with local guides. Simple but good meals, plenty of meat, fruit and veges, and delicious banana pancakes for breakfast. Fantastic to have WIFI. Perfect place to chill and unwind from Hanoi. This is a really authentic unforgettable rural Vietnam experience.
