Incredibly unique and lovely place with a host (Dao) who is always helpful. We loved the fact the hotel faces onto a walkway along one of the tributaries of the Mekong. It can get a little noisy with the river traffic but my family never had an issue with the noise when we were sleeping. And the river traffic just adds to the feel that you are in the middle of the local life. As mentioned previously, the host, Dao, was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our requests. She went out of her way to make sure we were able to do our laundry our last night at the hotel and even offered to scooter us to the laundromat. We wish we had more time to stay and chat with Dao but our schedule was pretty packed during our stay.

We had an awesome stay with Truc and her family! They made us feel welcome! We had a clean room with mosquito net and a fan. There are hammocks to chill in! Truc and her lovely sister made a tour with us to the floating market in Long Xuyên. She also showed us the best restaurants on the island! One night we spend in a café playing the game UNO and one night we did karaoke (if you want and brave enough to sing karaoke!)! The mother of the family was like a mom to us! Her food was delicious!! One evening it was raining heavily, why we couldn't get out to find a restaurant. So the mom invited us for dinner! She also gave us a lot of fruits (yummi mangos!). The island is beautiful and calm! If you looking for a real for an authentic Vietnamese experience and a peaceful place, don't look further! You found it!
