I like the position right on the estuary. We walked down a few steps from the garden to the beach and took nice walk along the sand to Kei River mouth. There were several fishermen there, very willing to chat and share their experiences on almost any topic (or fishing if you prefer). Kei Mouth is an extremely friendly village and Neptunes Cove is part of the great atmosphere. The quiz evening at the Yard is not to be missed - including the great buffet.

🌊 Whispering Waves Cottage – Kei Mouth 🌊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10/10) We had the most peaceful and refreshing stay at Whispering Waves Cottage in Kei Mouth. The location is absolutely stunning – just a short walk from the beach, with the sound of the waves creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. It has everything you need for a self-catering stay, including a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely braai area. The calm atmosphere and fresh sea air made it a truly relaxing experience. Our host, Awie, was incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. You can really see the care and attention he puts into the place. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or a base to explore the Wild Coast, Whispering Waves is a hidden gem. Ankervas is in a stunning location with beautiful views overlooking the sea and shore., you could look at the views for days on end! The parents of the hosts who welcomed us are absolutely delightful and couldn't have made us more welcome. Their son who manages the bookings is very efficient with excellent communications. One of the nicest places we stayed in and THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED.
