In winter, the access road is closed, and the Wallackhaus can only be reached by cable car from Heiligenblut. You can park your car in the garages near the cable car station. Parking is charged. Arrival and departure by cable car are free of charge for guests. Great location, with very nice and delicious food. Great to warm up in the sauna after an all day long hike in the changing weather. Interesting self serving system with drinks. Make sure to come for more than one night to enjoy the hikes nearby.

our 4*S resort TAUERN SPA Zell am See - Kaprun. If you like relaxation and SPA - this is the right place. In the middle of the breathtaking mountains and after driving the Grossglockner High Alpine Road this is the perfect spot for us. Our room was wonderful (Nature Plus Room with balcony and mountain view) and the bed was very comfy - sometimes I have problems with sleeping in a hotel - not here. The Spa is great, many different pools and spots, breakfast and dinner was spectacular with an extra themed buffet in addition to the served dinner. They have a great ground floor garage where we could park our low Corvettes without any problems and the bus stop in front of the hotel is very convenient if you plan to go to Zell am See or to the Kitzsteinhorn and don't want to drive with your car. Everything was perfect as always. It was our third visit here and we will come again and again and again.

Only 400 metres away from the centre of Kaprun, Pension Patricia was completely renovated in December 2016, offers free WiFi and free parking in a quiet location. It is only a 10-minute bus ride to the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier and Zell am See ski areas. We were here for a short vacation. The place is run directly by the owner who is super nice and friendly. Always asks if we need something, always smiling, always super nice and positive. The pension has been renovated recently and is very nice and cosy. Breakfast was very good with delicious hot chocolate. The location of the pension is very quiet, yet close to the city center and ski lifts.
