Pingyao Hu lu wa Home Inn heeft gratis fietsen, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge en een restaurant in Pingyao. We loved our host, soooooo accommodating and friendly. The house itself was just beautiful and had a wonderful ambiance. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Totally amazing place to stay! Highly recommended. First of all, it is only 7 mins walk from the ancient city of pangyao. It is also so nearby the railway station. You can go by DIDI or bus, both are so convenient. Second, the decor of the place is AMAZING! I couldn’t help take pictures and video when i first came it. They even have a swing and glass-fish! The staff are so friendly and nice people. The Owner gave me water when i first came and when i left. Whenever i ask for anything she always helps. They have bar and food there with nice prices. I didn’t eat there but saw the food, it looked so delicious. The rooms were also amazing, it is two levels bed and mine was the one above. Surprisingly, it was so comfortable too. When i move it doesn’t vibrate into the bottom bed. The toilet is clean and they have shower gel, hair shampoo, small towel, and toothbrush with toothpaste ready for you to use. The air conditioner works fine and the wi-fi is connected from my room.

The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Amazing location, right in the center of ancient town of Pingyao but still very quiet. The room is very beautiful, clean and there is all you need for a comfortable stay. Ji is amazing. I highly recommend a short or longer stay at the Ji Family Courtyard Inn.

Rooms are quiet and minimalist with great water pressure, reliable fast Wi-Fi, plenty of bedside outlets, and strong AC/heat. The bed and linens meet Western comfort standards. Breakfast can be chosen Chinese or Western—I tried both during my stay and each was fresh, well-presented, and generous (fresh juice and good coffee/tea included). Staff were proactive and friendly, arranged luggage pickup from the city gate, and communicated smoothly in English. The location is perfect for walking the lanes yet peaceful once inside the courtyard. Tips for Western travelers: cars can’t enter the old town, so message the hotel for pickup; wear comfortable shoes; and leave time to simply enjoy the courtyard—part heritage museum, part modern gallery. A flawless stay.

Shanxi Merchant Mansion is ideaal gelegen in de wijk Pingyao Ancient City in Pingyao, en bevindt zich op 4 minuten lopen van Rishengchang Former Bank, 400 meter van Pingyao Ancient City Ticket Office... Staff is incredibly helpful and goes above and beyond despite the language barrier. Very nice room, full of any kind of amenity. The hotel itself is gorgeous with a beautiful courtyard.

五福居 Five Blessings Hotel is gelegen op 1,4 km van het centrum van Datong, op minder dan 1 km van Nine Dragon Screen, en biedt accommodatie met airconditioning, een patio, gratis fietsen en een tuin. Everything! The room was spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was made fresh every morning. Location is perfect in the old city walls. The highlight is the staff! Heartwarming people who are going to make your stay memorable. I highly recommend asking to get Xin Yingjun as your driver to go sightseeing. He drove us everywhere we needed, recommended us restaurants and temples. He knows the city by heart and has so much to share. We couldn’t visit the Hanging Temple because of the weather, but I don’t regret it at all - he immediately came up with another plan that allowed us to visit so many beautiful temples in the city. He is very funny and energetic and such a kind person, he is going to make your stay one to remember!

JW Marriott Hotel Taiyuan ligt in Taiyuan, op 4,2 km van Shanxi University, en biedt uitzicht op de stad. We travelled in a group of 3 pax and requested for an additional bed; we were very happy to see this already arranged by the time we checked in after a long flight and given an upgrade to the executive size. Room was clean, spacious and bedding comfortable with a Nespresso machine in the room. We also enjoyed the diverse spread at breakfast - with lots of local fare and a good balance of non- local to choose from. We also appreciated the amazing speed of the staff who responded to our requests with friendliness and alacrity - the concierge desk, the bellboys and the ladies at the breakfast counters were very helpful during our stay. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in Taiyuan
