Everything felt very new and clean and definitely one of the nicer 4 star hotels in the airport area. Good working AC and very helpful front desk staff - including Joyce who helped me with my WIFI. Breakfast is high quality but is mostly Chinese style (which I like) with Rice noodles 🍜 and a few hot Chinese dishes. Hotel 🏨 is in a little shopping area (with a bunch of other similar airport hotels) that have some tea shops and local restaurants. Great choice for a layover at the Kunming airport.

At the hostel, all rooms are equipped with a terrace. Super cozy place, both the private room and dorms (tried both). In a quiet alley in the old town, serves good and fairly priced food and most of all very accommodating owners - helping and giving advice and also really nice to just talk with them. Would always book here when I’m in Shangri La.

The hardware and software of the guest rooms are very good, the mattress is comfortable, the hardness is moderate, the bedding is clean and soft, the air conditioning and heating are sufficient, the bathroom is dry and wet, and the toilet is smart, which is quite awesome. The service is always responsive, so whenever you have free time, you can go to the boss for tea, which is very comfortable. In short, it has a high cost performance ratio and is highly recommended!

Great location near lots of good food and 5 mins by taxi to the night market on other side of the river (a must visit).
