This hotel is a little gem and a delight from the moment you walk through the door. ALL the staff were so kind, helpful, friendly, warm and welcoming and so very efficient, especially as we spoke no German. All drinks and meals were of great quality and the cocktail maker on Saturday evening was a joy to watch. The ladies who cleaned the rooms were like little fairy’s who came when you weren’t looking and made sure our room was clean and comfortable for our 3 day stay. We also had two Christmas trees sparkling on our balcony. It’s a perfect place to stay in the snow in December and we hope to return one day.

The non-smoking Altfränkische Weinstube has brightly decorated, spacious rooms with cable TV. All rooms feature a private bathroom. Within the walls of the gorgeous town, it was perfectly placed. We were so excited when we found it next to the museum as its even more glorious in person. A Bavarian dream. The inside was packed full of local treasures but still it was spotless. And the breakfast was out of this world, so beautifully presented, awaiting you at your table, a platter of quality fruit, meat and cheese. Little cereal jars, a basket of homemade bread, eggs on order and the apfel kuchen!!! I ate both pieces.

From 4 March 2024, our parking garage will only be accessible via Maximilianstraße due to construction measures in Katharinengasse. The bed was amazing, big and super comfy, also the bathroom, elegant and with a very good shower. The position of the hotel is perfect. I traveled with my dog and they provide a big cushion for her, a steel bowl for the water and they also gave me a pack with dog treats
