The hotel itself is at a height with views of the Prespa lake and the village from the very large balcony adjoining the room. The room itself is very large with a large bathroom with high quality amenities. There is a provision for tea and coffee in the room with a small restaurant for breakfast and coffee above a flight of stairs. We arrived to a warm welcome by the host and greeted with hot coffee. Cookies just out of the oven were served free. Breakfast was prepared by the hostess’ mom and it was very elaborate, freshly made and delicious. We were not aware of this and had requested an early breakfast at 6.30 am and felt a bit bad about waking her up so early. However she was all smiles and spoke to us about India in Greek through her interpreter (daughter). They invited our guide for breakfast though he was staying somewhere else. There is a restaurant in the village about 5-7 mins walk from the property that’s very lively and serves great food.

While the room was quite basic, expected for a guesthouse, the view from the balcony and being so close to nature and wildlife was very special. We loved it. The breakfast in the morning, was fresh, made-to-order, and very generous. The restaurant next door (only one on the island) provided our dinner, which was probably the tastiest, most authentic meal we had on our whole trip.

Might not be for everyone, but the lush garden, insects, frogs, birds, cats, dogs, cows, the lake was heaven to me. The breakfast was abundant and tasty. The host is very friendly and welcoming. I hope to visit again.
