Στον ποταμό Rio Dulce, κοντά σε ένα κάστρο του 16ου αιώνα, η χερσόνησος Tortugal Boutique River Lodge λούζεται από σχεδόν σταθερά αεράκια στην ακτή, προσφέροντας ένα δροσερό και αναζωογονητικό μέρος. everything about it ! the rooms are lovely , the location is perfect and the activities (kayaking, swimming around the property, taking a boat to the river, walking in the woods) in the property were fun! the food was excellent throughly the day including breakfast. lunch and dinner and the drinks are delicious. the staff and especially Angela and Ruby, were just so lovely and are So welcoming and professional. they helped us with everything. from the minute we arrived until we left, even with taking a bus back to Antigua and arranged the driver, taking a boat day trip and just made everything feel so nice. Angela is an exceptional caring person and made us feel so good during the entire stay. thank you Angela for making our stay so special.

Very good location and I was able to get a pedicure next door when I went to pay for the stay! Brilliant. Daniel was very helpful and friendly. I loved being able to walk to and from Sendero de Bosque tropical las Escobas, it is stunning! Well worth the visit. Mona’s cafe was recommended to me by Daniel - I liked it so much I went back every day (the mokka & mokka frappe were both really nice)

The Camp is located at a wonderful small beach, surrounded by palm trees and mangrove forest. The whole small camp is designed were nicely and made with a lot of love. It has a very nice chill/kitchen area with a large table to get together with the other guests and volunteers. We could join the family dinner and breakfast for some extra money, which was very tasty. We did rent kayaks and went to the mangrove forest. The host Laurence helped a lot in preparing the trip and gave us a lot of information to arrive to the camp and go to Livingston. She was very helpful and kind as the other guest were. I would recommend to stay at least three nights, but a few days longer would probably be even better.

Ollie was exceptionally kind and well connected to get us help with transportation. She is also a great cook. Don Luis was the taxi driver that she connected is with. He is a very honest man. He drove back to the facility to return my phone and charger that I left in the taxi. Funds from this place go to support underprivileged individuals attain working skills.

Το Casa Caribe Hotel διαθέτει εξωτερική πισίνα, κήπο, ιδιωτική παραλία και κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, στον προορισμό Rio Dulce. Wonderful hotel right on the waterfront with a view of the castle. The building is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very helpful. Enrique is the best. The menu is simple but suitable for a few days. Rio Dulce is a 5-minute boat ride away. The sunset is amazing.

Το Hostal Blood Moon είναι σε Rio Dulce, σε απόσταση 4,9 χλμ από το σημείο ενδιαφέροντος Castillo de San Felipe de Lara και διαθέτει καταλύματα με κήπο, δωρεάν ιδιωτικό χώρο στάθμευσης, κοινόχρηστο... It was like a special treat. Cosy, sweet & cheap.

Το Hotel Real del Rio, το οποίο είναι σε Rio Dulce και σε απόσταση 5,5 χλμ από Castillo de San Felipe de Lara, προσφέρει θέα στην πισίνα. Great shower! Hot water and good water pressure. We arrived at 1 in the morning and check in was no problem. We even got cold bottled water. Beds were very comfy. Didn't use the pool but looked nice.

Το Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante είναι σε Rio Dulce και έχει κήπο, κοινόχρηστο χώρο lounge, μπαρ καθώς και δωρεάν WiFi σε όλους τους χώρους του καταλύματος. The hotel is on a peaceful part of the river. The rooms are rustic but nicely done and very clean. We were worried about not having air conditioning but the fan worked well and we slept great. It cools down considerably at night. Shower has hot water and was better thanks shower in Flores. Free pick up and drop off in Rio Dulce with good communication. Meals were excellent and well priced. We used their tour to go up the lake to Livingstone and it was a highlight of our trip. We also rented a kayak to paddle across to the castle and along the river.The owners are very nice and helpful. If you are debating about staying here versus either Rio Dulce or Livingston, we definitely recommend Kangaroo. The towns are not nice to stay in.
