There will never be enough words to describe my experience at Kastara and it’s nothing short of amazing. The views are incredible and it never gets old waking up to nature sounds and a beautiful sunlit forest. We booked the room with an outdoor tub, which on hindsight was better than the ones with private pool, cause we were located at the top floor with the highest bird eye view possible. Staff was warm, friendly, always greeted us and attended to all of our needs. Loved that the hotel caters to only a few rooms and guests, it felt private and peaceful. Room was spacious with high ceilings and made us feel like royals. Bed and linens were super comfortable. We liked it so much we ordered room service every other day. Breakfast is ok but the team was so sweet they packed boxes to take with us to Mount Batur as we had to be up early at 2am. We also booked a 3 hour spa experience with the resort and it was worth every penny. On one of the days we took the Campuhan Ridge Walk to Ubud Center. Resort is very secluded and situated in an area run by a local community, so any private cars or taxis that enter are required to pay a fee. We hired one of their community drivers whenever we needed to go to city (which was rare, cause we had so much exploring to do with day tours anyway). Honestly, this doesn’t make the experience feel any less as it’s not possible to get the same views and environment if we stayed anywhere more central. Overall, 10/10 will come back for a relaxing holiday and get pampered in a traditional luxe resort.

Wonderful stay in the Wakanda Resort just in the middle of the rice plantations. A great thanks to our extra guide KADEK who has showed us the hidden treasure of the village - the waterfall. His knowledge about the local traditions and culture has added so much to our journey. I really recommend to go for the trek with KADEK. We have made also a photo session which allowed us to capture the memories. A very large choice during breakfast ! we highly recommend the Wakanda Resort in Ubud

This place is very interessant multilevel area, crossed by a river. It is always in a shadow here with planty of trees, so you are quite covered not being on a sun. It is good, that you can find couple of places where to sit down and relax. Swimming pool is big and nice.

My week long stay at Sabana was just amazing! The staff are incredible - the best service I’ve ever received at a hotel. There were so many small touches that made this stay very special - a hand written letter from Yuli and team on arrival, local Balinese treats for afternoon tea everyday, free shuttle into Ubud centre, a different bedtime story about Balinese culture every night, free water, twice daily room cleans, gorgeous mummy cat and her kittens and being greeted by name by all staff when walking around the hotel. I was sick during my stay and not only did staff shuttle me to the Dr, but I returned several hours later to a beautiful flower arrangement and hand written get well soon. The hotel itself is clean, immaculately maintained and very comfortable. Thank you Yuli and team!
