As I have been numerous times to Makassar and also know the other Hotels which play in the same league (e.g. the 4 Star Hotels located at the seafront),. the Hyatt offers a way better, more luxurious experience for the same price. In my opinion it is by a large margin the currently best choice for a stay in Makassar.

We asked Peso to create a tour for us and we were not disappointed! He is very knowledgeable and is thoughtful about his answers and where he takes you. Food was plentiful and we were greeted every afternoon with a delicious fruit drink. Everyone was so very nice. The bed was comfortable too. 😊

Excellent breakfast. Great food quality, though the choices were limited for breakfast. The restaurant menu and food was outstanding. It will be worthwhile to add a few more vegetarian dishes to the menu.

RAMMANG-RAMMANG HOUSE ligt in Maros, op 12 km van Kampoeng Karst Rammang Rammang, 25 km van Bantimurung Waterfall, en 45 km van Fort Somba Opu. I visited during Ramadan, and the family cooked all of my meals since the restaurants in the area were closed. The facilities are very simple and there is no wifi, but if you're thinking of visiting Rammang Rammang, I would strongly recommend this place.

Er is er maar 1 dus geen andere gasten. Top locatie in de jungle, wel een stukje van Rante Pao maar dat vonden wij juist heerlijk. De prive badkamer achter de tongkonan is modern en netjes met een normale wc, goeie warme douche en 2 wastafels. Mama Valen regelde vanalles voor ons, vervoer, dagtour, motobike, lekker eten. Geen airco of fan maar is ook niet nodig, het koelt af. Vroeg wakker zoals overal in Indonesie vanwege honden of hanen, wel goed donker in de Tongkonan

It's a fantastic place, do yourself a favour and book it. We originally planned to stay shorter but ended up extending our stay because it felt like home! The homestay is simple but has everything you need - a lovely common space to relax, a balcony with a view of a traditional village, WiFi, tea, coffee, and drinking water. Breakfasts were delicious, and for most dinners, we stayed in—Meyske is an amazing cook! But it’s not just about the food; the homely atmosphere and great conversations made it even more special. On top of that, Meyske is a fantastic guide who made our experience unforgettable, helping us plan the perfect trip. Highly recommend!

It was a really lovely place to base ourselves for a short stay in the area, Rian and James really welcomed us into their home, sharing their space with us. You feel like part of the family but we still had space for ourselves too. Toraja is a beautiful place with rich history and culture.
