The view from the balcony overlooking the beautiful, well-kept garden and the volcano is fantastic. Since the house is located on a small side street, it’s also very quiet and peaceful. Unfortunately, we only had one day to explore the area, but Riko went out of his way to make the most of our time there. He organized a private tour for us, and we got to visit a waterfall, hot springs, the volcano, and several other spots — it was a wonderful day. We would absolutely come back!

It is located at the prime location in Bunaken, first row. The two rooms are next to each other above the restaurant. The family is a super friendly, they get you everything organized. But the best is really the food, prepared by Mama Inge; really well cooked food with veggies, mostly fish - fresh tuna was the best - not this deep fried stuff… In the evenings the locals always played music, some tourists were joining - big fun! Full recommendation from our side (we stayed there 5 nights, extending our stay in Bunaken) had both rooms: one for my wife and me and one for our two kids.

Having lived in Indonesia 25 years ago I can honestly say that the food is a good as any home cooked food anywhere with great variation. Sign up for the full catered option. The other house staff are equally helpful and will happily run an errand to pick up supplies as the place is a tad isolated- even they don’t ask or expect don’t forget to tip. While in the area we did some Muck snorkelling with Ibu Feronika from Rumah Selam who operate near bye-it was awesome. Feronika can also help with highland and nature park tours, plus transport to and from Manado. Can highly recommend.

To top it off, the food at the restaurant was amazing. Both the local and international options were very delicious. Can't wait to come back!

Rented a motorcycle there and went to paal beach and other spots, that are close and easy to reach. Had an impressive national park tour organised be the property. Highly recommended!!!!
