Located in the heart of the beautiful Westport Quay, Ireland, The Helm is adjacent to Westport House and overlooks the idyllic Westport Harbour. It offers a restaurant and bar with live... An excellent apartment in a fantastic location. The Helm pub and restaurant (located below the apartments) is an amazing place, the team, food (excellent!) and atmosphere has real charm. We enjoyed this each morning for breakfast and for dinner and drinks most evenings. The location at The Quay is great for Westport House, the working harbour and a close Westport town. Very relaxing and charming, but close enough to the action.

The hotel has everything to make you feel at home...away from home and that includes a surveillance camera to keep the property secure and make the guests feel safe. The hotel is adjacent to the Bus stop, a stone throw to the train station, and few minutes walk to basic amenities like supermarkets, pharmacy, eatery, you name it. The hotel is perfectly located at the heart of the Town. If you are visiting Ireland, ditch the big cities, start with Ballyhaunis and check into JAMES LYONS B&B, you will thank me later. Truly, I can't express my joy and comfort while here. Joan is a treasure, and we became friends during my stay. She made a fabulous breakfast each morning after nights of complete comfort in my beautiful room. The entire property is picture book charm. If you come to Cong or nearby, you should definitely stay with Joan and Brian😁💚. When I come back, I will!

Our hosts were so kind and very responsive to our requests. We went during the off season so basically had the whole site to ourselves. We were able to relax and enjoy our surroundings throughout our entire stay.

Attentive and communicative host. Apartment located on second and third floors of building, so possibly not suitable for persons with mobility challenges, but perfect for all others.
