Short walking distance to shops, restaurants, the lake, and the fair grounds (we were there during three camel fair). Highly recommend!

This place is absolute perfection. The lake view is breathtaking, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are cozy and clean, with comfy beds and plenty of amenities. But what really sets Turtel apart is the atmosphere - it's like a little community of travelers, with plenty of opportunities to meet new people and make friends. The location is also amazing, with plenty of hiking trails, water sports, and local attractions within easy reach. And the food! Oh my goodness, the food is delicious and plentiful. I had the best breakfast of my entire trip at Turtel hostel I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable experience. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to help plan your stay, and the hostel's commitment to sustainability is impressive. On arrival they make you feel that you are “part of their family”. They will go out of their way to care for you and make sure you get the most out of your stay in Udaipur. In my case, I had an unfortunate medical condition flare up and they immediately showed me to a doctor in the hotel and then went themselves to collect the prescription. I am very grateful. Bravo! Best hotel stay in India so far!
