Set in Yanagawa, Fukuoka region, 柳川ゲストハウス 憩 (IKOI) is situated 35 km from Hirayama Hot Spring. The property has garden and inner courtyard views, and is 19 km from Yoshinogari Historical Park. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We loved every second of our stay at IKOI in Yanagawa. The guest house was a lovely half hour walk from the train station along the canal in an absolutely beautiful neighborhood. We loved strolling around the area and it was easy to get to boat rides and restaurants nearby. IKOI itself is wonderful and had everything we needed. Warm room (can't say that about every place we have stayed at), super comfortable beds and other amenities in tip top condition. The view of the garden from the cafe is honestly worth the price alone, it's breathtaking. It's hard to believe you're not in the countryside when looking out that window. Finally, I have to dedicate a paragraph of this review to Jo, the owner. He was so helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. He helped us with figuring out transportation, he called a restaurant for us to help with a reservation and he recommended some local places that ended up being the highlight of our stay in Yanagawa. I cannot say enough great things about our host, just 10/10. Overall, our stay at IKOI was wonderful and I could not recommend this place more!
