I booked 2 rooms (premier deluxe twin) for 3 nights in December 2024. Hakodate is my first stop in my 2 weeks Hokkaido trip. The breakfast is so very exceptional! This hotel’s exceptional breakfast sets the standard so high that none of the hotels in our Hokkaido trip could match. When we had our breakfast in our next destination (in Noboribetsu), my elder son’s face is so black! Hahaha! If you are planning your trip, you might want to put this hotel as the last hotel. Room is of good size. Bright and gives very good view. Beds are comfy. Toilets are very clean. The onsen pools are new and big. In my trip, my favourite onsen pool is Noboribetsu Grand Hotel’s sulphur pool. If I am back in Hakodate, I will stay in this hotel again.

Open from November 2018, Tokyu Stay Sapporo Odori is situated in Sapporo. A 3-minute walk from Odori Park, the property is also a 7-minute walk away from Sapporo Clock Tower and offers free WiFi. The hotel staff were friendly and spoke English. The Lobby was very welcoming with comfortable seating and free coffee and tea. We were there for four nights in a hot summer. The air-conditioning worked well once we learned to adjust it. The bed was comfortable and the room kept clean. The kitchenette, microwave and washing machine were an added bonus. There were convenience shops right next door, Tanukikoji shopping street just two minutes away as well as many restaurants, cafes and Odori subway station. We found the taxi fare to and from the main Sapporo station very reasonable, as we had a lot of luggage...no tipping in Japan makes life much simpler! The Japanese breakfast was excellent and the Continental one quite adequate too. Service was good and the dishes kept full.
