The whole room was very clean, well-equipped with amenities and just in general comfortable to stay in. It‘s not traditional japanese in any sense but sometimes a good western room is nice too.

From the very kind and friendly stuff, to the breakfast, and the cleanliness and relaxing facilities. I ended up staying for 4 days and it was the best hotel in the long few months trip in Japan. I'll definitely come back 🤍

Situated along Tanohara River and surrounded by tranquil nature in Kurokawa Onsen hot spring area, Oku no Yu Ryokan offers charming Japanese-style accommodation and various hot spring baths. • Onsen : The best I've tried so far (together with Gero). Has a really nice smell (unlike Beppu lol) and the temperature is perfect. There are also many different separate onsen baths which you can have for yourself for 1 hour if you ask. • Food : Overall great, standard Kaiseki meal (served in a dining room where each room is separated by a small movable wooden wall) • Staff : Very helpful and gave me the option to opt out of my room and go for a smaller one (cheaper) since my friend cancelled last moment and I ended up alone. • Location : As you can imagine, a great natural onsen is often in the countryside, you do have a bus that goes from Aso station (Kumamoto) all the way to Hakata station (Fukuoka) which stops by Kurokawa which is helpful. The ryokan's staff also pick you up at the bus stop if you inform them of your arrival time.

Located in the heart of the city, Hotel Nikko Kumamoto features accommodations with free wired internet access and views of Kumamoto Castle. Very good location for the castle and very friendly hotel staff.

Bery confortable bed and nice amenities. The breakfast and afternoon buffet ar delicious, with great variety.

Open from September 2019, only 150 metres from JR Hakata Train Station, Miyako Hotel Hakata offers stylish rooms with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom. Proximity to the station, shopping mall. Very clean, comfortable and modern room!! Excellent service

The hotel is new, the onsens are pleasant, and everything was clean. Everything was provided — from robes to toiletries. It’s close to the station, and there are many good restaurants nearby.
