Urasa Cottage @ Snow Countryside bevindt zich in Minami Uonuma, op 29 km van Skiresort Gala Yuzawa en 25 km van skioord Maiko. Ms Li was super hospitable! We soon realized that we came from sunny Singapore and the family chatted comfortably. The place is very clean and amenities well planned and detailed. It was snowing heavily and the house had more than adequate heaters to keep us warm and comfy. Photos shown and description are exactly what you will get.

We stayed here with our family during a two-week road trip around Japan, starting in Tokyo and staying in six different places along the way. Out of all the accommodations we booked, Sundance Resort Naeba was our clear favorite by a huge margin. The unit is incredibly spacious, with a stunning two-story window overlooking the snow-covered mountains. When it snows, it genuinely feels like you’re looking out at a giant snow globe. The apartment had far more space than our family of three needed, featuring a master bedroom on the second floor, another bedroom on the first floor, and two beds in each room. Cleanliness was not an issue at all, the place was spotless. It’s also very well equipped, with a pantry, dining table, heated floors, two toilets (each with its own bathtub), and a laundry room on the first floor. Another highlight was the privacy: the building is divided into north and south wings, with only one unit per floor, making the stay feel very exclusive and peaceful. At night, the resort was wonderfully quiet and serene, likely because we were there at the very start of the ski season, before the crowds arrived and while many nearby businesses were still closed. The staff were exceptional, always friendly, warm, and attentive. They even spoiled my wife with sweets and snacks throughout our stay. As a bonus, our booking included a delightful breakfast each morning. I can’t recommend this place highly enough. It was truly a fantastic and memorable stay Oh yeah there's free parking too for those driving up.

Wij verbleven hier met ons gezin van 4 tijdens de Earth Celebration festival, omdat in Ogi geen accomodatie meer vrij was. Zeer proper hostel, propere toiletten en gemeenschappelijke badkamer met goede douche. Heel vriendelijke ontvangst. Op wandelafstand van het busstation en het strand.

Noka Minshuku Sanzen bevindt zich op 24 km van Skiresort Gala Yuzawa en biedt een tuin en een terras. De accommodaties hebben airconditioning, een balkon en gratis WiFi. This quirky house has been lovingly restored and updated by Nobu and her family who live next door. The amount and types of wood used in the construction of the house is incredible, from the wooden staircase and hand-crafted hand rail, to the curved wooden bathroom, giving the feel that you are inside a barrel. It includes the washing machine, a huge shower room and separate, very snazzy toilet. With all mod cons, we had a very comfortable week here. Even the futons were OK for this old, unaccustomed body. The bedroom is covered in beautiful, traditional tatami. The 3rd floor loft has a hammock and chairs with lovely views of the countryside, which you can also enjoy from the dining table downstairs. The kitchen is well equipped and basic condiments are provided (oil etc), so it was easy to self cater. The house has air conditioners upstairs and down as well as kerosene heaters so we were very cosy despite record amounts of snow. We parked directly out front and the watering hose did a good job keep the area clear of snow. The supplied snow shovel and brush were a life saver. Our host family were sweet, taking time to ensure we understood all the facilities and gave us gifts of local food.

The personal was super kind and always happy to help. Recomend taking their offer for a ride to places. Fair price and very easy.

Pension Moomin Papa bevindt zich in Myoko, op 31 km van Zenkō-ji Tempel en 33 km van station Nagano. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, airconditioning, een tuin en een gedeelde lounge. Classic charming pension with the most friendly owners! The private onsen across the street is incredible, I had it to myself every night, and there is an option for breakfast. The room was perfect for two of us, and Papa was so kind to drive us to and from the Myokokogen station and the mountains, and also on some errands which was so kind. It feels like you are stepping into a place that can’t be created, a piece of personality.

Belle Vue Nishiura ligt in Minami Uonuma in de regio Niigata, op 3 minuten lopen van het skigebied Ishiuchi-Maruyama. Het biedt directe toegang tot de skipistes en een skiopslag. Hospitality by Satoshi san and his family. He is very helpful and the price to rent the ski gears is reasonable. He drove us to and fro to Gala Yuzawa Ski Resort during our 2 Nights 3 Days stay. Kogakuro ligt in een vredig landschap en biedt aangename kamers in Japanse stijl met veel natuurlijke lichtinval. We enjoyed our stay! Everything was excellent and Mieko assisted with whatever queries we had. The breakfast was very tasty, and the location was very convenient.
