Extremely splendid experience. We did not expect much other than having a clean room per person and a big-and-comfortable public bath (Daiyokujo). On top of that we get free evening soba noodles, free drinks (unlimited apple juice) and free ice after baths, and free massage chair service. The whole place is also beautifully decorated. Not to mention that the room price is extremely low, that the place is at the city center, and close to the train station.

The owners are lovely and really really hospitable people (with a good sense of humour too). I loved the authentic Japanese experience and was kindly driven to the onsen 3 times!! Hirosaki itself is beautiful and the castle is about a 35 minute walk away, although I personally recommend the modern art museum.

The hotel owner provided excellent service to us. They even invited us to feed the cats in the hotel and prepared an excellent dinner for us. Also, they drive us to the cat Island ferry port the next day. I received an unique and unforgettable experience and I highly recommend this hotel.
