First of all this is not one hotel or an accommodation: is much much more. It’s a wonderful experience. The pictures are extremely accurate so you get exactly what you see. As a family we chose the 3 bed room which included a private bath and basin (toilet are shared). As we arrived we have been welcomed by Makiko with a tea and cookie. She was really super caring and attentive to all our needs, giving all the information you may need for nearby interesting activities as the Temple morning chant, restaurants, local shops and how to visit the UNESCO landscape in Shirakawa-go. We have been stayed couple of days during a very big snow storm which transformed the place so that we found ourself in a magical fairytale. All the staff are so gentle and kind that it will make you feel at home and unwilling to leave. We will surely come back!

The house is so thoughtfully designed and with such good taste. Everything is super clean and tidy yet very cozy and it feels like home. The shower rooms are wonderful, the rooms are spacious, the kitchen has absolutely everything and all such good quality. We stayed two nights and visited the world heritage sites nearby. You can get to Ainokura walking 30/40 minutes. The others are reached by bus and the bus stop is right in front of the house. You have a supermarket 2 blocks away, two bakeries from Which I totally recommend the bread / doughnut with red bean paste and the cakes. We also had a wonderful dinner in one of the restaurants. The host was so kind and attentive to every detail. I totally fully recommend staying here. Wonderful experience!

Guesthouse Iwase ligt in Toyama, op 2,2 km van Toyama-kō en op 14 km van het familiepark Toyama. The host was very friendly and extremely accommodating. Had a great time staying here and checking out the beach. Room was very spacious and the place was very clean. Beds were super comfy! The host was great, would love to come back here again and see more of the area.

Guesthouse Kazura ligt in Nanto, op 31 km van Kasteel van Kanazawa, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een gedeelde lounge. The guesthouse is an old traditional renovated farmhouse with an awesome rustic and very comfy charme and pieceful view over the lake and the mountains. The owner is very friendly and cool and offers very delicious bread for breakfast and (for free:) different kinds of coffee and tea. I had a great relaxing time there, escaping the hussle of the city.

Staying with Kota and his family was absolutely wonderful! They have a lovely house, everything is clean and comfortable, but more than than that, is the pleasure of staying in a real home in a beautiful place. The location is certainly worth the detour from the big cities, and it was so easy to get there thanks to their clear communication and instructions. Thank you for hosting us!

She made our stay extremely comfortable, and the futons were the most comfortable we had ever slept on!!! Also we were going to a local onsen and she provided us with coupons! We were very pleased! I highly recommend this accommodation for its location, price and hospitality!

Minshuku Goyomon bevindt zich in Nanto, op 43 km van Kasteel van Kanazawa en 43 km van Kenrokuen Garden. De ryokan met 2 sterren heeft kamers met airconditioning en een gedeelde badkamer. Beautiful rooms, beautiful village, very sweet hosts even if no English spoken, very sweet attentions in our room, very well slept

Daibutsu Ryokan beschikt over een tuin, en bevindt zich in Takaoka in de regio Toyama, op 48 km van Kasteel van Kanazawa en 48 km van Kenrokuen Garden. I love how the owner in the ryokan has a very warm and welcoming demeanour. Most importantly, the Japanese traditional ryokan experience is beautifully well-preserved. Truly a must-have experience in a lifetime!

山二 -Yamafu ligt in Imizu, op 18 km van Toyama-kō en 5,6 km van Fushiki, en biedt gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. De accommodatie is rookvrij en is gelegen op 17 km van station Toyama. My stay at Yanafu was truly delightful. The Japanese house, with its spacious 120 m², is very welcoming, comfortable, and beautifully designed with a natural and sustainable style. Bright, full of light, and featuring restored wood details, it also has a vintage HiFi stereo system that sounds absolutely wonderful. The bathroom was spacious with two individual showers, and the bedroom was perfectly quiet, equipped with a brand-new air conditioner. The host was very kind and friendly—she recommended all the wonderful places I visited nearby. Thanks to her advice, I enjoyed a fantastic restaurant just 12 minutes away on foot, where a talented chef served exquisite dishes in a minimalist setting with a table overlooking a zen garden, all at a very reasonable price. On my way back, I followed her recommendation to stop at a cocktail bar 8 minutes from the house, walking along the illuminated riverside. The place was like stepping into a movie set—the interior design was a true work of art, with more than 80 bourbons and an extensive selection of cocktails. The next morning, following her guidance again, I had breakfast in a café walking only 6 minutes, a former fisherman’s warehouse beautifully renovated. They served excellent coffee, cakes, and sandwiches—the perfect spot to start the day or work with a laptop. In summary, my stay at Yanafu was wonderful. The 120 m² house is warm and cozy, and with the host’s thoughtful recommendations, I could enjoy unique and unforgettable places within walking distance. Ideal for families, groups, and also for romantic couples, thanks to the beautiful surroundings. I will definitely return often.

Guesthouse KEN ligt op 3 km van station Toyama, 11 km van Toyama-kō en 17 minuten lopen van treinstation Minami-Toyama, en biedt accommodatie in Toyama. The owner waited to receive my family arrival. Excellent hospitality. Communication with the Japanese owner not a problem as he could speak good English. Within the unit, cleanliness in tip-top condition. The living room with a very comfortable sofa, huge dinning table sufficient for 6 pax use, nicely sized shower room, etc. Everything within the unit looks newly furnished and in excellent condition. Beddings are very comfortable, perfect for good rest. Air conditioning keeping the unit in comfortable temperature. Supermarket and F&B establishments are just a few minutes drive away. Surrounding environment is peaceful and terrific. This place has been the best my family ever stayed among the many overseas trips our family had. Owner even popped by to say Good Bye despite our family leaving the unit in early hours in the morning. Highly recommended.
