As the weather was quite chilly compared to the other area, we got an electric heater. Despite of no breakfast, we got food in a supermarket, so absolutely no problem. Shower was quite warm, too. The price was quite economical. I felt like staying in the UK.

Everything about our stay was fantastic. The host family were so welcoming and kind, and helped us with planning our holiday, not just in Nuwara Eliya but all over Sri Lanka. They also introduced us to a great guide for hiking and transport to Ella. The house and room are exactly as described, the bed really comfortable and the shower the best we experienced in our whole trip.

The accommodation is in the mountains at an altitude of about 2000m. In the evenings the temperature drops to about 15C. You need to wear a jacket in the evenings. The locals also wear wool hats. But this is clearly unnecessary. Double fleeces for sleeping in the room. It's good to be able to wear a blouse with longer sleeves if you're afraid of the cold. The room is nice and clean. Comfortable beds. TV in the room. Common dining area for three rooms with fridge. Breakfast was made by the hostess. It was delicious: toast, jam, butter, sausages, fruit, pancakes, jackfruit sauce on bread.
