Pearl's Homestay Matale bevindt zich op 27 km van Winkelcentrum Kandy City Center, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, een terras en roomservice. De is absoluut de mooiste plek in Sri Lanka waar ik heb verbleven. Zonder uitzondering. Een kamer met een eigen keuken, een terras en een prachtige badkamer. De hosts zijn twee prachtige mensen die je met heel veel liefde ontvangen en in de watten leggen. Ik hoorde van de eigenaar dat hier vaak mensen voor maar 1 nacht komen. Niet doen. Boek minimaal 2 nachten. De omgeving is zo mooi. De eigenaar nam me mee naar het prachtige stadje met zijn bezienswaardigheden en ook naar een mooie waterval en het zo mooie Knuckle gebergte. Allemaal in mijn tuktuk. Zelfs samen pizza’s gehaald omdat we trek kregen en zijn vrouw er dol op is. Oh ja, het ontbijt is een mega attractie. Je kunt hier makkelijk een week verblijven en dan de omgeving verkennen. Absoluut aanbevolen.

An incredible place where you can sleep in luxury in the middle of the Sri Lankan jungle. The staff is wonderful and friendly, food was excellent. Everything's organic and fresh and homemade. So tasty!!! They their own cardamom ice cream, cardamom grows outside your room, as well as lemongrass and mini-guavas. Waking up to the breathtaking views of the Sri Lankan mountains, Going to sleep with the noises of the wet jungle- everything is an adventure in this place. (Watch out for bloodsucking leeches!) I did a half day trek up the knuckles range with their guide, thanks to him I was lucky to spot some leaf nose lizards. What a beautiful creature. Highly recommend this place.
