It is one of the closest accommodation options from the Interisland Ferry Terminal, just 2 km away. Excellent room and facilities. We had spilt some milk and it was fantastic to use the washer and dryer for clothes that had been soaked in milk. The room was very quiet and the hotel was in comfortable walking distance of excellent restaurants on Wellington quayside. Staff were helpful and friendly. A great night's stay.

The bbq was very handy m Everything was well thought out - loved the little touches like homemade local honey and beach bag with towels. Great bakery around the corner too! Birdsong Cottage blew me out of the water -- it's gorgeous, calming, immaculate and the hosts, Susan and Gavin, go above and beyond in ways that make you feel more like whānau than guests. The cottage is very pretty, clean and extremely comfortable with much evidence of attention to detail. I asked if I could check in earlier since I was checking out of a previous lodging at 10am and Susan was truly accomodating although it was a big ask. I took advantage of the property's stunning aesthetic with photos galore and spent most of the time on the porch with wine or coffee. I am a big Tūī fan, so it was an absolute dream and the hosts are mindful to make sure that birding is optimal on the property. At their kind insistence, Susan offered me fresh eggs and Gavin drove me to the Paraparaumu airport. Stunning experience, I cannot recommend it enough.

Beautifully appointed with everything we needed including very generous breakfast supplies and a plate of ginger crunch on arrival! The fresh flowers were an added touch. Cherry was a welcoming and wonderful host. The Greytown Loft is warm, comfortable, private and peaceful. Within minutes walk to the main street, it is the perfect place to explore everything that the Wairarapa has to offer.
