The owner even gifted each of us beautiful bukhoor before we left and waved us goodbye until we were out of sight. It felt like leaving family. They went out of their way to help us find an adapter we needed, and little touches like complimentary coffee and dates always available at the reception made us feel incredibly at home. The terrace offers a stunning view which is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring or for enjoying sunrise. The guesthouse itself is impeccably clean, tastefully decorated in traditional Omani style, and has everything you could possibly need. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of old Nizwa. You can easily walk to the souq, the fort, and all the main attractions. It’s also just a short stroll from where the Mwasalat Muscat–Nizwa buses drop you off. This was truly one of the most memorable stays of my life. The hospitality, the atmosphere, the comfort...everything was perfect. I will absolutely stay here again when I return to Nizwa. Highly, highly recommended!

The structure is super modern but created with the stones of the mountain. I found it super beautiful, with the view directly on the canyon. However, the best thing was the incredible way the owner made us feel welcomed. It is not easy in Oman to be welcomed in houses and hotels by Omani themselves. But here we finally found it. Ibrahim and his wife really made us feel home, sharing their stories, food and an amazing care. Additionally the location is great because right in front of the room starts the tracking of the canyon.

It was always good to talk with him, and he represents the hospitality of Oman in person. It was also nice to talk to his lovely family. The accommodation was very relaxed and looked very nice. A typical location to stay for more than just one night, especially because from there you can do a lot of things: Nizwa, Bahla fort, Jabrin Castle, Jebel Shams (balcony walk) and maybe even Bat or other necropolis.

The house was extremely cozy, spotless, and beautifully decorated with the perfect blend of traditional charm and modern touches. The swimming pool was sparkling clean and very inviting. Inside, there were two lovely outdoor seating areas, both thoughtfully designed, plus a charming swing that added a playful touch. The location couldn’t have been better—right in the heart of the main area. It’s only a 2-minute walk to Alaqer Wall and about 7 minutes to Nizwa Fort. There are plenty of cafés nearby and even a small supermarket just around the corner, which was very convenient. We received a thoughtful little gift after check-out, which made our experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this place for families or groups—it’s the perfect spot to relax, feel at home, and enjoy exploring Nizwa to the fullest.
