A balcony with lake views is offered in each unit. Incredible people that would organize so much for you. Very good food, transportation and they also arranged for us to join an island tour. The experience itself is really cool, but you need to put on a lot of clothes because it is going to be cold. You will never forget the water bottle.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. First off, what a magical experience this stay was from the people to the views to the room! Walter and his family really made this stay so special, they are the kindest people ever! From the moment we arrived they treated us with such care and love, Walter’s dad picked us up and dropped us off at the port, Walter took us on a private tour of the Uros Island in the traditional boats, his mom cooked the most wholesome dinner and breakfast for us, his mom also showed us her handmade artesiana, which were all so beautiful and we were able to purchase some to take a piece of them home and support this wonderful family. They made sure we were comfortable at all times, the room was spacious, had a heater for the nighttime, since it gets cold, plenty of blankets, hot showers, spectacular views, what else can you ask for?! They talked to us about their rich culture, which was impressive and it was a gift that they allowed us to take a peak into their everyday life as foreigners were not allowed back then in the Uros. Guests at the lodge can enjoy an American breakfast. It was the BEST night we spent in our one-month stay in Peru. Was expecting something basic, afterall it’s on a floating island and the price is so cheap. When we arrived, everything was perfect. The room was so nice, with a giant and super comfortable bed, super nice view of the lake, the room also comes with a cute balcony where we hung out most of the time during the day. Meals were served to our room, shower came with hot water, love every bit about the stay here that we wished we had booked for one more night.

I only wish we stayed two or three nights, instead of one! We had the most relaxing time lying on the outdoor bed watching the birds and reading. Communicate prior to your stay to find out the total cost including extra meals and boat taxi so you can have the soles you need, plus extra for purchasing some of Elena's amazing weave work! They arrange everything for you. The boat trip was great with lots of very interesting information about life on floating islands. Highly recommend!
