Octant Évora delivered a true 5-star experience from the moment we parked until we left. The hospitality stood out right away, every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We enjoyed both the dinner and the breakfast buffet, and every dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and rooted in Alentejo's traditions. Our spa massage was another highlight, fully relaxing and beautifully done. The entire property felt carefully designed to inspire calm, with elegant amenities and thoughtful touches everywhere. What made the stay unforgettable, though, were the small moments: walking along the wooden viewpoints by the lake, savoring the peaceful landscape, and exploring the "Horta do Chefe" where we met baby goats and other animals. It felt like being connected to nature without giving up any comfort. Octant Évora captures the soul of Alentejo: slow, warm, delicious, and full of life. I can't wait to come back in the summer and enjoy it all over again, this time with even more sun, pool time, and long walks by the water :)

Pé na Areia, Alojamento Local ligt in Porto Covo, op 3 minuten lopen van Baía de Porto Covo-strand, en biedt een gedeelde lounge, rookvrije kamers, gratis WiFi en een terras. Super friendly and helpful host. Lots of free brekkie food and teas. Water and extra blankets in the room. Heater was on when we arrived.

Diogo, Ms Khaleesi and their three little dragons offer probably the warmest home-away-from-home experience one can possibly wish for. From his first "Welcome home!" as I had stepped through the door, Diogo made sure I felt welcome and well taken care of throughout my extended stay. Aside from the attentive hosts, nothing beats the unlimited washer-drier availability, with separate shoe drier gadget and a mud cleaner available in case you get caught by a storm along the hike. A warm fireplace and additional blankets take care of the winter chill, not to mention a complimentary cup of local wine, hot tub showers, and a fully equipped kitchen. I could not recommend this place more.

Alojamentos Vitinho - Vila Nova Milfontes ligt in Vila Nova de Milfontes, op 800 meter van het centrum. Het biedt privékamers met gratis WiFi en een flatscreen-tv. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. Love the room just wish we had more chance to use the patio (couldn’t this time because of the weather). Would highly recommend and definitely stay again.

Dom Dinis Marvão ligt binnen de muren van het kasteel van Marvão, aan de top van het hoog gelegen dorp Marvão. Het biedt een dakterras met een Jacuzzi® en een panoramisch uitzicht op de omgeving. We kregen de kamer met het mooiste uitzicht, het was ook aangenaam van temperatuur, goed bed en lekker ontbijt. Maar top was de vriendelijkheid van het personeel! Ik zou dit verblijf van harte aanbevelen!
