We also felt at home in this hotel, as the excellent chef prepared fresh and delicious meals based on our preferences. The entire staff was very attentive and helpful. Having one table where guests and hosts gather for breakfast and dinner is a great way of getting to know each other and to share stories, experiences or tips for activities in or around Toubacouta. And there is a lot! Celine and Gilles have been an invaluable help with arranging the various trips for us, both canoeing in the mangroves, a boat trip to a bird island, an excursion to the Fathala wildlife reserve and much more. All food is prepared at the guesthouse by Celine and her staff and it is nothing short of outstanding. The jam is homemade, the yoghurt is homemade, the honey is local from the mangrove... and the three-course dinners are pure luxury. Every day! I even got a birthday cake and "Happy Birthday" sung in four different languages on my birthday. This is exactly the kind of guesthouse we are looking for on our travels and we are incredibly happy and thankful to have found Keur Niaye.

The manager was extremely available and courteous; he even gave us discounts and offered us his own homemade beer. The bed was super comfortable and soft 🥹 best sleep.

Absolutely loved my stay here! I was recommended this location by a colleague and it did not disappoint! The pool was clean and lovely, I used the kayaks and explored the mangroves, I joined a boat tour of the bird island. Delightful stay. Rooms were fun and very clean! Walking around town was safe and lovely as well.
