The new Outrigger Khao Lak Beach Resort – SHA Plus is an absolute beachfront property situated on Bangsak beach, a long stretch of coastline off the Andaman Sea, just a 90 minute drive from Phuket International Airport. Everything was amazing! I had high expectations, and they were exceeded on every level. Our bed was not only 9ft /2.7m!!! But exceptionally comfortable. The grounds are beautiful. Everything is pristine. The breakfast was fabulous. The staff were incredible We travelled on to Phuket... big mistake! Went for dinner to Mali - recommend it. Great value for money, at least in July.

The room was spacious, elegantly designed and had a wonderful view out to sea (we were in a Grand Deluxe close to reception, so the relative height at the top of a hill offered a great vantage point). Breakfast was outstanding with tonnes of vegetarian (and gluten-free) options, which was wonderful as so many Thai breakfasts tend to be so meat-heavy - this was a welcome break. The staff were courteous and friendly without exception, and the a/c in the room managed to keep the room cool despite the humidity outside. Visiting in low season was superb value, and honestly with just a few minutes of rain on one of our three day stay, a June visit is really a no-brainer, especially as nearby Khaolak is so quiet and crowd-free during this time. Walking around the resort is a pleasure - if you're lazy and don't consider walking in lush vegetation to be enjoyable, then go stay somewhere flat.

The whole experience at Khao Lak Marriott was wonderful from the moment of arrival, parking our car, assistance with our bags, and an easy check-in. An electric buggy whisked us to our room, which was delightful, immaculately clean, with comfortable beds and bedding. The sandy beach was clean, overlooking the quiet and inviting Andaman Sea, plus the choice of resort pools allowed for some serious or playful swimming. All resort staff were exceptional, helpful, knowledgeable, and always with a warm greeting and a smile. Good buffet breakfast included in the price and wide food choice otherwise available all day at the resort. Thank you, Marriott, for a lovely stay.

The staff is incredible, everyone is so nice, welcoming and care for you- Sunfunee and Fit took care of us when my husband got wounded, and Rich drove us to the hospital and waited until the doctor finished, we really appreciated every one of them. Not to speak about the breathtaking unbelievable views from every corner. It was magical. Thank you for making our trip unforgettable. ♥️
