In September 2025, I have stayed 4 nights in Rua World Hotel in Van. Overall, my experience has been very positive. 1) The breakfast is an extremely strong point. There is a huge choice of food and the products are fresh and tasty. Locally produced cheese and locally grown melons are delicious. When something seems to run out, it is being supplemented quickly. It is nice that breakfast starts early and you can easily get through a very large part of the day on this excellent and filling breakfast only. Furthermore, the view (lake Van and Van castle in the distance) from the breakfast room at the top floor is very nice. 2) The location is very good and extremely practical. The hotel is in the centre of Van and opposite the governor’s office. The neighbourhood is safe and this holds for the evening hours too. Within walking distance, there are more than enough shops and eateries present. Besides, practically before the hotel entrance, there is a minibus stop. From here, you can go directly to all the main places of interest in Van itself and to the bus station for e.g., minibuses to Akdamar and long-range buses. 3) The personnel is very friendly and helpful. Although nobody spoke English, this has absolutely never been a problem at all. Everything could be managed without any difficulties. Also online, communication has run really well and, actually, this was fully in good English. Answers were provided fast and possible unnecessary misunderstandings were already being avoided beforehand. A special word of thanks goes to Tuğba for her patient guidance regarding several issues. 4) The room was very clean and large. The beds were really good and in the bathroom, hot water was always present. Air conditioning worked very well. Availability of a fridge, free tea, coffee and water (in bottles) was also super handy. I am very satisfied with my stay in Rua World Hotel in Van. Therefore, I can definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers. Keep up the good work!

The elegant rooms are equipped with air conditioning, LCD TV and a minibar. They are all soundproofed and feature a private bathroom. The hotel was very clean, especially the rooms, and everything was well organized. The staff were kind and helpful. Overall, a pleasant experience that I would recommend.

City center is 15mins drive from the hotel. Van Airport is only a 5-minute drive from the hotel. Free private parking is also offered on site. Everything was just fine, the best hotel we’ve visited during our latest travel to Turkey. Would recommend the Doubletree hotel to any traveler.

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Van Orient Hotel is situated in Van, 43 km from Ataturk City Stadium and 45 km from Van Bus Station. The property is around 46 km from Van Museum, 46 km from Van Castle and 48 km from Old Van Houses. Certain units at the property have a terrace with a sea view. The hotel is basically a misleading place as it's name is saying Van Orient but it's 30KM outside van. Staff cannot speak english. i booked two rooms but was given only one room. i booked for 3 nights but then i left after staying there for one night. hotel is poor in every aspects. I lost my money for nothing...... there were other groups of people there who were also complaining about the name and the location of the hotel. it's the worst selection i have ever done with Booking.com
