Unique property. We were upgraded from the rooms we booked. Exceptional value for money. They made us a western style breakfast although it wasn't on the menu.

the lodge is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature. the lodge itself is well maintained, the garden and the whole location is beautiful. the staff were very friendly and they spoke English very well. they did everything they could to ensure we enjoyed our stay. breakfast and dinner were also very tasty!

Amazing place. Like a hidden paradise. Beautiful, peaceful, comfortable. Staff is very helpful and kind. Rooms are clean and cosy. This homestay has everything you want: from adventurous tours to massages. You can even enjoy fruits from their own garden.

Located among rice fields and fruit farms in the heart of the Mekong Delta with direct access to the backwaters, the Ricefield Lodge is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and extremely welcoming. Communication with Martin before arrival was clear and prompt. The information given was helpful for planning. One of Martin’s taxi drivers was waiting for me at the airport; Vi, who welcomed me on arrival at the Lodge was the epitome of Vietnamese hospitality; Mymy’s cooking was sooooo delicious-probably the best I’d eaten on my trip. Everything at the Lodge was delivered in a relaxed way and with a smile and a story. I’d recommend taking the advice given regarding transport, doing the short cycling tour around the ‘neighbourhood’, doing the day tour with Mr Lay and of course Martin’s own speedboat tour of the Floating Markets. It was lovely to see the positive relationship he has built up with the locals in the floating markets. There are few places left where you can be right in the heart of ‘local living’ with all the comforts you might want: the Ricefield Lodge delivers on this. I’d wholeheartedly recommend it and hope I can return sometime soon.

We were looking for a peaceful and quiet place to enjoy a few days in the Mekong Delta and we were not disappointed. Located 25min by car from Can Tho, there is nothing to envy to the big city. Here, the key word is relaxation, calm and total escape. A hotel immersed in nature and vegetation, beautifully maintained. The rooms are comfortable with an amazing outdoor bathroo and large beds each had large mosquitoes. There is a beautiful swimming pool, comfortable deckchairs. Caring staff. Quality meals. We loved our stay. Special mention for Tam who was our guide during an excursion to the floating market: he joined us early in the morning with great kindness to offer us an authentic and immersive experience on the river, sharing his story and anecdotes about the life in the surroundings. Go there with your eyes closed, it's one of the best memories of our trip. Absolute bonus: massage chairs available to relax at the end of the day.

We (2 adults and 2 teens) loved the resort, swimming pool, our room, balcony - facing little pond and restaurant. Resort is clean, peaceful and relaxing. Thank you to all staff who were so helpful with organising the tours, transport to Phu Quoc island and accomodating our special needs (super early breakfast)… I hope we will have a chance to come back in the future. Jimmy and his family are super nice! They welcomed us very warmly into their home, which is cosy and convenient as it is just a grab 9 km away from Can Tho city and yet out of the urban chaos. The room and bathroom are comfortable and clean with all amenities (including air conditioner and ventilator). The private balcony is so nice, he also has a very big balcony for BBQ together, super nice. Jimmy, as manager of Mekong Experience, organised a nice half-day tour for us, which included a wander around one of the floating markets, a visit to a family-run noodle factory, and then a boat ridealong the river of the Spring Forest where there was plenty of birds of different species, and the rice harvest was in progress. Perhaps the pace of the different activities was a bit tight but overall it was a really good experience, not least because Jimmy was really dedicated (before, after and during the tour) to make us eat typical dishes in non-touristy places, which is something we really appreciate! The best place was a little diner in the middle of the countryside, where we arrived by bike, again thanks to Jimmy who arranged the bike rental for us and gave us directions to this family-run niche along the river.
