We stayed at this hotel for the last part of our trip in Colombia and we are grateful for every minute of it. The island is paradise, with big palm trees and crystal clear water. The staff at the hotel was amazing with us, they took the time to greet us and they were very welcoming of our 3 years old who could freely discover all their kids games. We chose the bungalow deluxe and we woke up every morning with a breathtaking view, the room was also spacious and we loved the open air bathroom concept ! The food at the restaurant was nice and the breakfast buffet was full and varied ( be mindful that you are on an island so the menu is well thought to minimize any waste). We felt safe and very well taking cared of. We would come back anytime, one of the best memories of our trip.

We really liked the location and the place. It's perfect to calm down from the stressful life in Cartagena. The food was simple but really good. It was very easy to get in connection with other travellers - like a little family. The sunsets every evening were amazing! The owner explanes a lot of the history of this island - but he only speaks spanish (and the rest of the staff too) that made the communication a little bit difficult. They offer tours directly from the hotel - they are great but also only spanish. We had great, calming days at Dahlandia!

The room was pretty and comfortable. A fan was enough to keep me fresh at night. There is a beautiful and calm beach very close to the hostel. Common area with hammocks was great too. Downstairs there is a little shop. They also serve lunches which were delicious!

Villa Luz is just a paradise. If you are looking for a quiet and chilling place that is the right one. We spent three unforgettable days in that paradise in a beautiful room with balcony and sea view. Luz the owner is a very nice person and a good chef. She took care of us every day. ,Highly recommended!

In the beginning I was thinking the price was too high for a shared dorm… when you get there you get what you are paying, the place looks like a resort! The staff is amazing, super kind people, as well as the atmosphere. Drinks also are great! I am a backpacker, so during my travel I don’t usually go to expensive places, but I was attracted mainly by the plancton tour. I am glad I’ve been there. It’s a unique experience, one of the best I’ve ever had. They will provide you snorkeling masks and take you to see the shiny jellyfish! Trust me it’s totally worth it, I also did another plancton tour in Cartagena but there is no competition. To see good plancton with proper masks and snorkel, go to el embrujo. Mosquitoes have not been a problem during my stay.
