We had a really nice stay here and Aracely was the most amazing welcoming host. The facilities are great too. We did the Cotopaxi hike to the refuge which was booked through Aracely and it was fantastic and great value for money

Frank is an amazing host! He helped us so much with planning of the trips around. ( El Corazón, Iliniza Norte, Cotopaxi....) Chaupi was our base camp for the acclimatization in mountains in Ecuador. We spent in Frank hostal amazing one week and I can definitely say, that it was the best decision stay in Ilinizas Wasi. You can use a kitchen, pat their dog and cats, use the washing machine. Frank even helped us with booking a guide for Cotopaxi and he recommended us great guide Marco. ( From 8 groups we were the only ones, who reached the summit.) I recommend this place 10/10.!

Everything was amazing! The communication from booking to arriving was great on how to get to the accommodation! The staff were so friendly and helpful! When we checked in we were given a bigger room to make our stay more comfortable! The restaurant on site is great and the food was all delicious including the breakfast which had a good selection to choose from! The animals on site were a very cute touch! Lots of chickens and ducks, and 2 Llamas that were very friendly and we got to feed carrots! They also can help with tours - we did the Cotopaxi base camp walk/hike - it was just us two with the guide and great value including lunch! They also offer affordable laundry!

Lovely little farmhouse. The rooms are a good size and clean. Our room had a fireplace that we used throughout the night - it was wonderful. The beds also has heated blankets. We were very warm! Great breakfast, with oats, toast and eggs. Helpful staff who gave us lots of tips about Cotopaxi Lots of cute dogs on the property!

If I could give this place more than ten, I would. Our stay there was wonderful and Paulina was simply the loveliest host I have ever met on my travels. Her mother also cooked us a three course meal that was delicious and enormous - and for a ridiculously low price. The Lodge has a variety of accommodations and a lovely lounge with wood fire. Outside are two llamas and two sheep! The location is on the road from the PanAmericana to the gate of the Cotopaxi National Park so is perfectly situated. Paulina is extremely knowledgable about the area and we were so grateful that she spoke English so that we could talk to her and learn from her. We had originally planned to stay somewhere else but a medical issue required a change of plans - and we are so grateful that we ended up at Rumipaxi Lodge.
