Our stay at Hotel Uitonniemi was nothing short of magical! The host, Maija was absolutely exceptional, going far beyond standard service to make our visit unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed, and the thoughtful touches throughout our stay made it truly special. One of the highlights was that we could use sleds for our son during the entire stay, which added so much fun to our trip. On the last day, the "Elves" surprised him with a personalized gift, which left him overjoyed and made our family’s experience even more memorable. Breakfast was great with something new each day. Maija even adjusted the breakfast timing to fit our daily plans, which was super helpful. The rooms were warm, clean, and had a lovely wooden finish that made them feel so cozy. Our entire family felt so at home here, and we hope we get a chance to visit this wonderful place again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, family-friendly stay!

I had a really pleasant stay at Academy Hotel Kemijärvi. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and I was able to check in and out close to the times my night train was arriving and leaving. (Easy walk from the train station) The cabin was very clean and comfortable and I really enjoyed the view over the lake and sitting by the fire that I made in the woodstove. A heavy stone thing that you fire up for a few hours and then it radiates heat for the next 20. It was wonderful! The sauna was also a nice bonus. Easy to use and if you don't know how to, the hosts were happy to explain things or come over to help. So very relaxing stay, and when I got tired of the view I could log on to netflix and relax some more. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

This is a great budget place for everyone looking for a comfortable, nice and inexpensive place to stay. We arrived very late and probably woke up the owner. However, she had no problem showing us around and welcoming us, although she spoke little English. The lady was so kind, even brought us free pancakes in the morning :-) the room was clean and comfy, felt like being in the 20is. It had everything one needs. Very charming and spacious.

The house is fully consistent with the description on the website. On the day of arrival there were severe frosts somewhere around 30, but the house was warm, so to speak, we were greeted warmly.))) And also beautiful nature, the house is located on the shore of a large lake. I plan to come there in the summer to see the beauty of this place.
