Location & property size were perfect for my stay. It was a relaxing holiday in a quiet French village. The hosts, Natalie & Tony, made me very welcome & even shared an evening apero with me, which was lovely. There were lots of minor roads & tracks available for me to run/walk/cycle with my dog, Willow. Virtually traffic-free for most of my outings, which was great. The gite was perfect, with 2 bedrooms & an open-plan living area. My first impression was that it seemed larger & nicer than the booking.com photos on the site. The pool is 1.5m deep with a children's shallow pool to one side, making it ideal for travellers with a young family. Supermarkets, fuel & restaurants are a 7-minute drive away, which is ideal. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-week stay here. I would definitely stay there again in the future & would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area.

An amazing stay at a beautiful guesthouse at the edge of the renowned village of Verteuil-sur-Charente with its wonderful chateau. Mylene and Cor were exceptional hosts, full of great advice and very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and the perfect start to a busy day exploring the wonderful scenery around this area. Great restaurants locally and still easily accessible to bigger towns nearby. The perfect stay!
