The accommodation was excellent, in particular, the ensuite. A beautiful log fire welcomed me and a pint of local ale. The food was all locally sourced and I opted for traditional ham and eggs. The Woolpack is situated at the head of Eskdale and is completely off the beaten track. Will be returning in the future.

We have enjoyed every moment of our stay. Great location - just in the mountains. The room was nice with ideally white bedding, clean and tidy. There was everything needed in the bathroom. Delicious breakfast. Really atmospheric place. Definitely recommend it!

Wonder time spent in a beautiful location. Hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming , being a city girl I love to wind down in the countryside Our stay was perfect , as too was the cuddles from Roy the sheep dog , beautiful place , the hosts we really helpful , would recommend , everything we needed in the cottage , warm cosy , idyllic setting x

I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and it never fails to impress. The rooms are very comfy, the staff are very welcoming and the food is excellent. I had the seafood pasta for dinner one evening and it surpassed meals I have had in the best restaurants in Sydney and elsewhere in the UK. Light, fresh and with a generous portion of seafood - delicious. It is lovely to sit in the garden (weather permitting) and enjoy the glorious views of the beautiful scenery all around. I will definitely visit again, and have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
