Wonderful surroundings, renovated hotel, cozy room with comfortable bed, delicious breakfast and above all welcoming, good-hearted owners/staff. They also helped me with my big luggage and asked me at the end of every day if I needed anything. Plus, they have a very sweet dog. I definitely recommend this place and I hope I get the chance to come back soon.

The signature room with a separate bathroom and shower room was brilliant. The styling and the decoration is spot on. Everything is well built in the room and practical. The mattress is mega comfortable, even for people with a special back. The quality of the duvet and the towels is excellent. The bathrobe is of superior quality amd it felt absolutely amazing. The restaurant is a cozy, roomy and sunny place to be. The quality of the breakfast and the rest of the lunch and dinner menu is superior. Everything you try is locally sourced and it is delicious. The staff is fabulous, pleasant and and always around ready to serve. There is an underground parking which is very convenient and modern. The location is only 15 minutes walk from the sea side.

Xantha is great for two reasons: the stunning view of the Pagasetic Gulf, the mountains and Volos; and the really wonderful lady who is now running the place (and who also speaks very good English). One should take into account that the road up is steep, narrow and at some places winding, not an easy one, and it's best to have a good engine, but it's well worth it for the view from your little balcony and the friendliness and generosity of the hostess: who not only invited me to eat as many of the ripe figs from the trees as I possibly could, but even paid my bill with the dinner delivery man (you can order food up) since I was in the shower!... As well as your own balcony, there's also a verandah off the drawing room with its own view of the Gulf, and the outside patio sitting area is especially nice. There's an open bar in the main drawing room of the hotel where you can make yourself herb tea from a varied selection, or of course coffee. So unless you would find the drive up difficult, Xantha is very highly recommended!

Poseidon’s rooms is one of the best places we’ve stayed in Pilio. it is 5 minutes walk from the beach. The room was very spacious and comfortable. I highly recommend the place. Nick was very accommodating and will tell you the best places to see if you are for the first time in the area. We will definitely come back again.

The place is located in the most beautiful part of the village. The hosts welcomed us with a warm feeling, home made drink and a big smile. the view is breath taking. Hotel Kritsa and the gastronomy restaurant are a fantastic experience. First of all you have the lovely and wonderful staff. They are so friendly! They bring your suitcases to your room and they give you all the necessary information about Portaria, the shops … and everything you ask them. They are very helpful! The outside area of the hotel is like the garden of Eden with an 800 year old tree at the center and a well next to the tree . You don’t need to buy a bottle of water. They fill a carafe with fresh spring water. Lovely! Water can taste very good. The rooms are comfortable. Old style Pelion. I had a room with a balcony over looking the square with the old tree. Very recommendable! And then last but not least you have the breakfast. Only for the breakfast you stay in Kritsa. It’s of an unbelievable good quality with very good quality local products and products from their own farm. The restaurant is also a very good experience. Lovely food and a very good wine selection. The service is professional and very relaxed and friendly. I come back.

A very honest 10/10. Amazing, traditional apartment with cozy amenities. Very warm during the winter. Healthy and homemade breakfast every morning. The perfect destination for a getaway in nature. Very close to other well-known destinations in Pelion like Milies and Pinakates. Would definitely visit again.
