We had a wonderful stay at Heta in the family room, Kazu our host was very helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, Kazu also manages a cozy bar below the accommodation serving excellent cocktails and provided us with good company at the end of a long day on the slopes! Bonus features were the use of onsite sauna steam room and onsen every night and onsite laundry facilities We hope to return again next season!

Perfect ski lodge for our large family. The owners were very hospitable and quick to respond to our questions and needs. We took ski and snowboard lessons with Sam, Taki, and Kotone at Nozawa and Togari, and as it turns out Taki’s wife is a world class baker who cooked up the best breakfast buns this side of the Pacific. Thank you for making our family trip extra memorable!

The dormitory beds were in their own cozy little cubicles. An extra blanket was provided. The decoration was very Japanese and nice. The bed slept well. I also loved the atmosphere of this guesthouse! The owner is very friendly and hospitable. In the common area there were blanketed tables, which was great for your free morning coffee. Everything was very clean and in good shape. The location is wonderful and free parking was nice. The town has some good restaurants and everything you could need.

Very generous catering, beautiful Yukata supplied to enhance the experience. There are two Japanese baths to choose , one of stone , the other of wood. We were surprised to be driven to the nearby shrine for an amazing 7km forest walk. Authentic immersion into Japanese ryokan with super comfy futons & traditional furnishings and edo style servingware.
