This place is truly the best place to stay. Sapiens Weligama is nestled in stunning natural surroundings, offering complete tranquility while still being close to the city. We initially planned a short stay but ended up staying for two months because, after just one hour, it already felt like home. The staff are incredibly welcoming and kind—genuinely some of the warmest people you can imagine. From the manager to the kitchen staff and those who keep everything spotless, they make you feel like family because they truly care about your well-being. This isn’t just a hotel—it’s a home in paradise. The WiFi is excellent, the beds are comfortable, and the pool with its river view is absolutely breathtaking. I have nothing but praise for this amazing place! We will miss you so much, Menoj, Janith, Kalhadi, Arincini, Kavin, and Hasha (sorry if we misspelled your names! 😄). Best regards, Mikkel and Sara <3

It was nice and comfortable. It’s located next to the Jungle beach where you can swim and a few nice restaurants. It’s quiet, not too far from the center. The host was very friendly and helpful.

We loved absolutely everything! Neranga is a wonderful host, his family are extremely nice people and his mother is a great cook! My daughter made her dream come true - living on a tree! we rented both houses for our family and it was a truly unique and authentic experience for all of us. With spiritual touch to it ❤️

The rooms were very spacious, the bed comfortable, aircon worked well and we thought the location was great! 10 minute walk to the beach. The host was also lovely and very helpful. It’s also one of the only places we’ve had hot water in Sri Lanka!

I had initially planned to stay for a couple of nights but ended up extending my stay to almost 10 days. The place has a unique charm that attracts interesting travelers, creating incredible vibes. The hostel's organized activities help keep you occupied in a location where there isn't much beyond surfing and chilling. The dog is a bit peculiar, being a puppy, and hopefully, he'll become friendlier once neutered. The volunteer is the best hype-person I've encountered, possibly ever in a hostel.

Fresh bathroom, nice room and big bed. Perfect location i Midigama, especially if you have scooter. The owners treat you like family, are very friendly and helps with everything. I even got a snack made to go for when I was leaving. You can get homemade food and fresh juice. There is laundry service. Patum, the manager, is always available and doing his foremost to make your stay as good as possible. Also a very cute dog, Blackie, that lives there.

The location was ideal, towards the end of the bay with easy access to everything. The Greens Rooms offered surf lessons, board hire and helped with organising a day trip. 10/10. I stayed in one of the cabanas and it was beautiful! Symon the dog is a great member of the team. Breakfast was delicious. Loved the pool!

Location was perfect, near to sea, surf place, bus station, shop and restaurants. You can use simple kitchen and fridge. For relax is good seat on balcony. Owner has really friendly dog Voopye, but if you don’t love dogs it is not necessary met with him. And if you want you can rent a scooter there. All family is nice and helpful.
