The gardens were lovely and Sue was kind enough to feed the eels for us. The balcony off the bedroom with the babbling creek and other shared spaces were perfect for socializing and eating with friends who had booked the other unit. Location is within easy walking distance to a number of eating places, takeaways, bakery and restaurant. Sue was very welcoming and helpful, even offering to arrange alternative accommodation for our friends (as she was fully booked) as the Cyclone was looming. Wonderful stay.

clean, quiet and had everything. especially love that dogs were allowed. the outdoor area was awesome to hang in even though it was raining. Shelley was lovely and checked in if we needed anything.

The cottage is very thoughtfully and comfortably furnished, extremely clean and has wonderful views looking out over Poor Knight's Island. The surrounding property is also great to explore and it's definitely worth visiting the resident alpacas, donkeys and pigs. It's also a short drive to Matapouri beach and Whale Bay, two of the most beautiful beaches in all of NZ. We would love to come back here and really hope we get the chance!

Great place to relax if you like peace and quiet set in exceptionally lovely gardens against a backdrop of native bush. Zero traffic noise truly is a country home yet only minutes to town and close to golf course. Our huge ensuite room opened onto veranda, kitchen was at our disposal plus coffee making in room. Host so welcoming and discreet available if needed. Lounge lovely and warm with fire going in huge living room. What a treat. Thank you Nancy.
