The cottage is very cosy and situated in a very peaceful quiet spot. We enjoyed the view and watching the birds in the big tree outside. It is very private, but we also had the opportunity to chat with the very friendly and helpful owner, who even shared her homegrown bananas with us. We'd happily come again.

Great place to relax if you like peace and quiet set in exceptionally lovely gardens against a backdrop of native bush. Zero traffic noise truly is a country home yet only minutes to town and close to golf course. Our huge ensuite room opened onto veranda, kitchen was at our disposal plus coffee making in room. Host so welcoming and discreet available if needed. Lounge lovely and warm with fire going in huge living room. What a treat. Thank you Nancy.

Exceptionally kind and generous hosts - we were staying at the cottage with our toddler and the family offered us to roam around their beautiful farm, explore and meet friendly donkeys & lamas which was a dream come true for our son! The house was perfect very homely close to town and the view is amazing. Our kids (teenagers) loved the pool table and ping pong we will definitely be back next time we are home.

We are a family from Germany who is spending the 2024 Christmas holidays in New Zealand. The house in Whangarei has a fantastic location. With a view of the harbour and the surrounding countryside. The equipment of the house is great. What I liked best was having the patio door open at dinner and being able to see the sunset. My son was very enthusiastic about the pool and my daughter was happy to have her own bedroom. Communication with the landlord was excellent. We felt very comfortable in the house and have made very nice trips from Whangarei.
