Pet-friendly hotels and homes in Waitomo Caves

The hostel is so cozy and perfect for a weekend trip to Waitomo Caves. The rooms were really warm and facilities were great. Staff were lovely and helped with everything, and the dog George was so cute! Amazing location.

The location was absolutely stunning, it was set on a farm and we got to hand feed the animals in the evening!! The owner was so lovely and friendly and his dog George was so cute. You can tell the owner really enjoys speaking to the guests. Saw there was a swimming pool and tennis court but did not have time to see those. Wish I could’ve stayed here longer!

The animals are all so cute and so friendly! I loved petting them. The pool is really nice too! Location is close to glowworm caves.

Friendly welcome from Angus and dog Puck. Idyllic location - loved eating our meals on the deck and looking at the scenery and listening to the birds. Clean and comfortable. Glow worm grotto nearby was a bonus and the kids also enjoyed walking around the farm looking at the sheep.

Great space. Lots of comfy couches both indoors and out. Most importantly pet friendly! My doggo had great fun playing with George the hostel dog. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Pool was nice for a quick dip after a long drive.

Lovely atmosphere. They had some horses, sheep, goat, a dog you can pet. Clean everywhere. Good kitchen. Host is friendly.

This was the cutest place we stayed on our trip! Very clean and great location, host was very friendly and welcoming. Getting to pet the donkey Eeyore might have been my favorite part.

Fantastic location. Superb hosts. Our kids loved the dog Puck and the cat Ratbag and the outdoor bath. Everything was set up so well, super cozy and homely. Loved it.

Loved the comfy beds. The facilities had everything we needed and more. Comfortable places to sit and eat or hang out rain or shine. We loved George, the resident dog. And the animals and rural location were great.
