We had an amazing night here, the camp is further out than the others which gives it a private and exclusive feeling. One of the most beautiful sunsets ever, good buffet dinner & breakfast & fire at night with the stars above was a highlight! Bathrooms are clean, just a bit smelly, I guess that is not to be avoided in a place so secluded! Bed and tent were spacious and comfortable.

Great location, service, food, transport to camp. This is how you do the business! Owner and other employees were kind, helpful and told us about omani culture and history. Tents were really comfy, bedsheets clean and the second smaller tent with bathroom was as well really well equipped. We had a fantastic time staying in Saud’s camp! We went during the quiet season and had the whole place to ourselves. The tents have all you need and are very spacious. The bed and linen are comfortable and good quality. The food prepared was so tasty and there was a lot of it, wether it’s dinner or breakfast. There is also a nice spot with cushions where you can lie down and watch the stars. The camp is further away from the big village-looking accomodations, and feels like you are having an authentic desert stay without compromising on comfort. We paid 25 OMR for a sunset camel ride each, 25 OMR for the parking pick up. Bring cash for everything!

This desert camp is set in a stunning location — truly a magical spot. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast was just right. We drove to the camp ourselves with a 4x4; it was easy, just remember to lower your tire pressure. The manager was incredibly kind and helpful. Two nights turned out to be a bit much for our young kids due to the heat, but the staff really helped us think of solutions, which we appreciated a lot. Don’t miss the sunset tour you can book upon arrival — it was hands down the most unforgettable moment of our entire trip!

A dreamy experience in the heart of the desert! The camp is beautiful and very well-organized, and the view of the sand dunes is breathtaking, especially at sunset. The food is delicious, varied, and served with great hospitality. A big thank you to the camp owner, Khalid, for his generosity and attention to every detail. The camp consists of different types of lodgings: 3 tents on the sand, tents on poles and houses. Each with its own bathroom. We slept in tents on the sand. The host Le Oy (apologies for misspelling) was wonderful. He picked us up in the neighboring village, deflated the tires of our 4WD and led the way through the desert to the camp. This was great fun. I got stuck in the sand and he showed me how to free the car. Diner is with all the guests in an airco-d room. Buffet. Excellent food. After diner campfire under the stars. The next day we saw the sunrise and went duneboarding and camelriding. Le Oy had made a cultural program for us. We visited a Bedouin tent where we drank traditional coffee. All in all it was an amazing experience. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 I definitely recommend Layali camp.
