Outstanding Stay – Truly Exceptional Service! I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. From the very first moment I arrived, I was made to feel incredibly welcome. The staff went above and beyond in every interaction — always smiling, attentive, and genuinely caring. What impressed me most was how personal everything felt. They remembered my name, anticipated my needs before I even asked, and treated me more like a valued guest in their home than just a customer. The attention to detail here is remarkable — from the beautifully maintained rooms to the thoughtful little touches that made my stay extra special. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the team: warm, professional, and sincerely dedicated to making every guest feel comfortable and cared for. I travel often, and I can honestly say this was one of the best hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. This was one of our favorite stays in Dar E Salam. A point to note if you’re planning to go to Mbudya Island this is a great option as it's pretty close to the beach where you take the boat from. Danny, the host, is super accommodating and if you need anything whether related to the place or just information related to your itinerary he’s more than ready to help you out. The two nights we stayed here, Danny was on leave. He took us to two beaches close by on his own. He also took us to a supermarket and pharmacy in the area. We even got to experience buying octopus and squid from a local fish point and a restaurant on the beach cooked it for us. All thanks to Danny! The place is ideal for a group of friends. I highly recommend Danny’s place if you ever decide to visit this part of the city.

We got a really warm welcome, including welcome juice. The staff was really helpful and answered all the questions we had. The breakfast was good, got a lot food to choose between (sausages, pastries, fresh fruits, juices, coffee etc.). Rooms were clean, had a big bed and TV. There was even a clothes steamer which was perfect after a long flight while our clothes were all wrinkled. Hotel was in a rather quiet location, not far away from beach and grocery stores. The hotel was worth every penny!

The Gallivanters became my home from home. The staff are so friendly and nice. You get breakfast everyday and also are able to use the kitchen if you would like to make your own food. The ladies working there will also wash your clothes for a little fee. The rooms were very nice with comfortable beds ( I might like them harder than most people though). The bathrooms were cleaned every day. They have a nice outside area both by the pool and on the porches. If you need to relax with a movie they also have a tv with Netflix. I also appreciated them putting out the spirals to keep mosquitos away. The area Masaki is also very nice with many good restaurants, clubs and cafes around. It is also very safe and I never felt scared or unsafe. The supermarket is also very close. Would definitely recommend and if I ever come back to Dar es Salaam this is where I will stay.
