There is a hiking path to the lake of Murten just underneath the hotel. 20 minutes drive to Papiliorama, if you want to be there early. The best is to be at Papiliorama as soon as it opens in the morning. The breakfast is delicious and the staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Traveling home from Munich the Ofenhaus was a perfect location for a stop over. The location is quiet but a short walk into town. Our host was friendly and on hand when we arrived, the studio was well equipped and the bed very comfortable. Our only regret was we should of stayed another day to explore the area.

Staff was great and took special attention to our requests. I asked in advance for non gluten options and they took care of buying very high quality non gluten bread.
