The hotel was incredibly kid-friendly and baby-friendly, which made our trip so easy and enjoyable. For the kids, there was a game room with a bowling alley, a cinema room, and even Lego plates at the kids’ buffet – such a fun touch! For our baby, they provided everything we needed, including a baby bathtub, baby body wash, diapers, and wipes. At dinner, they even had a special infant chair for babies who can’t hold their heads up yet – we were so impressed by the thoughtfulness. The whole place was spotless and very well organized. The buffet and sit-down dinner were both extremely delicious. The staff made our stay extra special – Lucca, the manager, was incredibly helpful, our server Stefan was wonderful, and the two ladies at the front desk were so kind. Our room had a breathtaking view, as if we were staying right inside a Scottish loch. Walking around the lake and seeing the cows nearby was one of the highlights of our entire trip. We highly recommend this hotel, especially for families traveling with children. We’ll definitely be back!

The hotel facilities were exceptional, with the highlight being the pool, which proved to be a haven of relaxation. Spending time there was a truly rejuvenating experience after a day filled with activities in Engelberg. The cleanliness and maintenance of the pool were impeccable, greatly contributing to my enjoyment. I cannot praise enough the delicious breakfast served each morning. The variety and quality of the food surpassed my expectations. From healthy options to indulgent delights, the breakfast was a feast that provided the perfect energy to start the day exploring Engelberg. In summary, my stay at this hotel was great in every aspect. The combination of exceptionally friendly staff, high-quality facilities, and a delicious breakfast created an unforgettable experience. Our rustic-style 3-star hotel with 12 rooms enjoys an idyllic, sunny and quiet location on the edge of the village, offering superb panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

Make use of our secure and covered parking and keep in contact with friends and family via the free internet access. The centre of the village is reachable within a pleasant 15-minute walk and in winter the ski bus brings you to the train and cable car station for free. The bus station is reachable on foot in 4 minutes. In winter, please take bus stop Heimat, in summer please take bus stop Brunni. Those bus stops also are the correct ones coming from the train station. Nice, cozy, quiet little place. Could tell the staff was concerned about our well-being.

Despite the challenging journey to reach the town, it was truly worth it. The surrounding views are breathtaking, and the balcony view is nothing short of spectacular — honestly, one of the best I’ve ever seen. The room itself was exceptionally well-designed, practical, and incredibly cozy. Everything felt clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. Overall, the experience was entirely positive. The location is outstanding as well: you can see the mountain lift right from the window, and it’s only a 10-minute walk away. Highly recommended.
