The best thing, however, was that the hosts really took care of me and I didn't have to worry about a thing when I was planning my hike around Huangshan as well as the following day. I was a bit busy around the time of my stay and had not done too much research but they sat down with me and walked me through everything. They also helped me with drivers and everything. Would highly recommend Yunshan Villa!

Huang Mountain Wangfeng Hotel has a garden, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Huangshan Scenic Area. Attractively situated in the Tangkou Town district, this hotel offers a bar. The accommodation features a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. As a family-run hotel, the service was personal and attentive. The location was absolutely perfect - the bigger and more expensive hotels are further away from the mountain and offer no view of it, and while they offer shuttle services up, the short walk to the mountain is a great experience in and of itself. The owner helped us book a shuttle from the train station to the hotel as well. The rooms were recently renovated when we stayed, with a nice shower stall (which was necessary after the mountain climbing!) and comfortable beds. All amenities one would generally need are included. While there is no elevator, there are only a few floors and the owner carries the luggage up. For the price, an excellent choice.

Tastefully decorated, it houses a restaurant and accommodation with free WiFi access. Location is fantastic, right next to the entrance to the scenic area. The staff were very warm, welcoming and thoughtful, gave us tonnes of tips on how to best enjoy the yellow mountains and even a massage gun after we came down! Amenities were very plentiful - they offer everything you could possibly want from a hotel. The room was very comfortable and modern with voice controlled curtains and a very fancy bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. They also offer free rain ponchos and walking sticks to help with the hike.

The owner comes from Austria and his Chinese wife can speak fluent English and German, giving me a lot of travel advice here. In addition, the chef here can not only make very authentic Anhui cuisine, but also very authentic German cuisine. Roast pork elbow is especially recommended! This could totally be a vacation destination! Not only a sleeping-place. Staying in the hotel is already a great experience! I’ll come back.
