From the moment we arrived, Daisy, the heart and soul of this place and the rest of the staff welcomed us with a warmth that went far beyond hospitality. Their care and attention to detail made us feel not just accommodated, but genuinely looked after. At times, we’d find ourselves chatting with the other family members and staff, sharing stories, or picking fresh fruit right from the trees in the garden. Each of us had our own cabin, and they were just what we needed spacious , comfortable, and open to the lush surroundings. The sounds of the ocean and the songs of the birds drifted in naturally. We especially loved reading in the hammocks just outside the cabins on the balconies, swaying gently in the afternoon breeze. The location is also perfect, just a stone’s throw from the beach, and close enough to town that we could walk in for lunch or dinner, but far enough that it still felt like a world of its own. Like being in a town away from the town. Our stay at Cabañas Iracas del Mar was more than just a holiday it felt like a journey into the heart of Nuquí’s natural beauty and the deep, quiet generosity of its people. If you’re looking for a place that offers both solitude and connection, peaceful rest and enriching excursions, this is a destination that truly has it all.

Estefania and Giovanni went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They offer services like homecooked meals, organizing your activities, and much more. We felt very much at home in our beautiful private apartment at Popochos. The lodges are just steps away from a gorgeous beach which you will have to yourself. Nuqui is already a dream but our stay at Popochos made it unforgettable. As an extra bonus, the hostel dog Rocky is always there to accompany you on some adventures if you wish!

Some units feature a balcony and/or a patio with sea views. I loved my stay in retoño, a little paradise in front of the ocean, run by some of the kindest people I’ve met. I had an unforgettable 2 days in there and they can cook an amazing vegetarian meals, there are filtered water as well.

I really enjoyed my time in this beautiful place so I extended my stay for several days. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms, bathrooms and the community kitchen were always clean. The breakfast was yummy.

I enjoyed my morning walking along the shore. The breakfasts are my favorite meal of the day, they are different every morning and the cooks are creative with the food types and tons of flavor. So many great tours offered. We did the whale watching tour and the baby turtle release. Both were amazing and unforgettable. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The public kitchen was great for making meals. H ighly recommended overall.
