Our group of +20 foreign Buddhist pilgrims really enjoyed staying at the Mohit Paying Guest House. Mr. Mohit Gupta and his family and staff were very friendly and helpful towards us. We had a very long journey in India and Nepal, and this was our last stop before going home. We stayed two nights and it exceeded our expectations! The ambience and energy of Mohit's place is very relaxing, enjoyable and spacious. And it is a very family-friendly guest house, as we have children who accompanied us on our journey, and we only want to stay at family-friendly locations. Our group also enjoyed the 2nd and 3rd floor balconies that we could hang out and enjoy the morning or evening view. The rooms were very relaxing, clean and good to sleep in. The location is also very convenient because it's a 7 minute walk to the Sarnath Buddhist Temple and a 19 minute walk to the Dhamekh Stupa. Mohit's customer service is great and I would love to go back to his place! Thank you Mohit for your hospitality and we hope to stay at your place again in the future!

THE place to book if you plan to enter the Taj Mahal via the "VIP" gate. The eastern gate is only reachable for pedestrians as it has banned all tuctuc and cars, and it's only a 15min walk to get there from your room. We were the 7th and 8th person to enter the Taj! Room is clean and pretty, only little downside was - the balcony is not private. We had other guests use the swing. But! Only a minor issue. 100% recommend!

Hot water and WiFi all working well. Homemade food is fresh and tasty. Great value.

Mr. Kapoor is the kindest host, a wonderful person who welcomed us into his house as dear guests, introduced us to his family, helped us in every way and created a wonderful, caring and delicate support for us.. His house is cozy, tastefully furnished and it's easy to relax in it and enjoy your stay.. The bed is big and comfortable and there is always hot water.. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean with plenty of space for our luggage.. The location is very convenient and there is a shop and restaurants nearby as well as the impressive Hanuman’s temple . Because of this person we consulted with and enjoyed talking to, as well as because of his calm, a nice home that we felt like our own - we will return right there again and connect the interesting and strong Varanasi with more humanity, warmth and coziness! We had a great time and recommend this home heartily and sincerely! Thank you :)
