Just 150 metres from the port, the Ossidiana is located right next to a volcanic-sand beach in the fishermen’s neighbourhood of Scari. It offers rooms and apartments, free WiFi and views of the Mediterranean Sea. Breakfast was rich. The staff was very helpful. And the view was incredible.

Rooms are modern and simply decorated, some have views of the sea. Each is provided with air conditioning and a TV. I can hardly express how much I enjoyed my stay here. It was one of the best experiences not only in the Aeolian Islands but in Italy overall. The hotel was fantastic – beautifully furnished, with stunning views, lovely common areas, and amazing plants and flowers all around. The pool with its view was simply breathtaking. The staff were very helpful and kind. Breakfast was excellent, with both sweet and savory options and freshly made cappuccino. The hotel restaurant was also great for lunch. A transfer to and from the port was provided for a small fee, which was very convenient. My room had a balcony with a sea view, which I absolutely loved.
